We Interrupt This Hiatus
This Week’s Look is taking a break this summer to focus on foster dog training and other off-internet activities, but we still couldn’t resist sharing what we found on eBay this week. This 1960s shift dress is so mod and minty fresh with its prim, high collar and adorable daisy appliques, it’s perfect for the office and the weekend. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
This week we found an iconic 1960s “Century of Boston” mod cage dress on etsy. This would look amazing with a nude bodysuit underneath, or if you have the abs to pull it off, just a bandeau bra as pictured. It reminds me of this Courrèges window dress from the late 1960s (first picture). Click on the second and third images below to see the seller’s etsy listing.

Featured Seller: Custom Vintage Replicas
There’s a fantastic seller on etsy, who makes vintage-themed dresses and replicas like the one below, which was featured on Peggy Olsen in a series of season five promo shots. The seller will custom make the dress below (and a number of other designs) in your measurements in a variety of colors for $195. Click on the images below to see the seller’s listing. You can also visit their etsy storefront here to see all of their designs.

Vintage Halston
I once wrote that “vintage Halston” may be my most favorite combination of words ever. If you don’t believe me then check this out. Now don’t you feel silly for doubting my veracity? Well, I’m in a very forgiving mood today so I won’t let this temporary lapse of judgment mar my opinion of you. Back to this week’s look, below is an impeccable example of vintage Halston, a flawless, draped, one-shoulder goddess dress from the 1970s. Currently for sale on eBay and the seller is accepting offers. Click on the images below to see the actual listing.
