Crazy for Courrèges
Those of you who follow This Week’s Look know how much we covet vintage André Courrèges. That’s why this week we are thrilled to show you this rare 1960s Courrèges two-tone mod/space age dress. Look at that hand-written label, custom designed for Bonwit Teller. Just unbelievable. This dress is everything you would expect from a 1960s Courrèges, simple structure, clean lines, and very expensive (but the seller is accepting offers). There’s a fantastic seller on etsy, who makes vintage-themed dresses and replicas like the one below, which was featured on Peggy Olsen in a series of season five promo shots. Pillow Talk
This week we found a wonderful seller on etsy, Lil & Gaines, who makes the most beautiful pillow covers. The pillow cover below, fashioned from a Robert Allen Khanjali designed ikat fabric, is currently gracing my new sectional and I’m so pleased with the quality that I plan to order another. Featured Seller: Bayan Hippo
Bayan Hippo has developed a solid reputation as a purveyor of affordable, handmade fabric handbags and totes. I have purchased two bags from this seller in the past and will likely get another one soon. With the spring and summer months ahead, I’m leaning toward the “Sailor Tote Bag” below. Reviewers rave about how well-made these bags are and apparently the rope straps are super soft too. Now I just need to settle on a color.
