‘Zou Bisou Bisou’ Part Deux
Earlier this week we curated a collection of vintage black dresses inspired by the season premiere of Mad Men. Unfortunately, we found so many fantastic pieces on eBay and etsy that we had to divide them into two features. The season premiere of Mad Men this week spawned tons of parodies inspired by that little birthday song and dance captured below. This week we found this perfect for summer, vintage 1960s mod/space age tent dress from hellhoundvintage on etsy. $100. Click on the image below to see the seller’s listing.
Three Plus One
It can be challenging to find great vintage pieces to fit every shape, which makes the three dresses below even more special. The first one is a 1970s-era silk brocade frock from Geoffrey Beene‘s Boutique label so you know it’s expertly crafted. The shirtwaist bodice and a-line skirt would be flattering on just about any body shape and the extra-long ascot can be tied in numerous ways. And check out those amazing rhinestone studded buttons! Such great details here, which is to be expected from this vintage boutique label (41″ bust, 34″ waist).
And below the Geoffrey Beene is a vintage 1960s butterscotch and black plaid jersey dress with neck tie (42″ bust, 36″ waist, 41″ hips).
