Off to the Laces
I don’t know much about royalty or Kate Middleton or what a queen consort-to-be does in her free time, but I know a knockout dress when I see one. Ever since the Duchess of Cambridge appeared this summer in a blue lace dress by Erdem, copycats have popped up all over the Internet.
I love the simplicity of the dress with its bateau neckline and half sleeves, it feels very vintage 1960s. There are many ways you can work a lace dress into your rotation this season without looking like a fad-chasing Kate wannabe. We found a number of timeless, vintage pieces on etsy and eBay this week. On etsy, “tvkstyle” will make you a replica of the duchess formerly known as Kate Middleton’s Angora wedding shrug for a pauper’s price. Let them eat cape! Capes. Ponchos. Swing coats. Shrugs. Shawls. Crochet. Knit. Angora. Wool. Fur. Leather. Fringe. Here are some of the best in creamy cover ups from eBay and etsy this week. Click on each image to go to the listing.
